Resume writing, city by city: fifty articles
Fifty articles across five cities
Each city has ten articles, written around the employers who actually hire there. The Chennai set covers IT services and automotive; the Mumbai set covers banking and media; the Hyderabad set covers pharmaceutical filings and analytics. Nothing here is a template with a city name swapped, because the hiring genuinely differs.

If you read only four of them
How applicant tracking systems really work
Most applications that vanish were not rejected. They parsed badly and never appeared in the recruiter’s search.
Turning duties into achievements
The single largest improvement available to most resumes, and it costs an hour of thinking rather than money.
What happens in the first thirty seconds
Shortlisting is a discard process with four decisions. Knowing the order is worth more than any writing advice.
Twelve things costing you interviews
The faults we see most often on Indian resumes, with the four that cost the most named explicitly.
All fifty are free to read and none of them requires you to hire anybody. Several will tell you the one thing to fix on your own document, which is the point.
Why resume advice has to be local
Because the employers differ, and they screen on different evidence. A Chennai automotive supplier audited to IATF 16949 hires people who have worked to IATF. A Mumbai bank screens on book size and NISM registration. A Hyderabad formulation company reads your ANDA filings before your job titles. A Bengaluru product company discards a resume that leads with a technology stack. A Delhi ministry rejects an application that ignored the prescribed proforma.
General resume advice cannot address any of that, which is why most of it is useless once you have read it twice. These fifty articles are written from what each of these cities actually hires on — and from reading a great many resumes that did not work and finding out why.
Content Factory writes resumes, CVs, LinkedIn profiles, cover letters and executive biographies from Chennai, for clients in these five cities and about eighty others. Prices are fixed in writing before work begins, an NDA is signed before you send anything, and nothing carries our name.
