How to choose a résumé writing service in Chennai without wasting money
There are a great many résumé services in Chennai and the quality range is wide. Some are careful editorial businesses; some are template-filling operations with a good landing page. The difference is not visible from the website, and the price is a poor guide in both directions.
What separates them is answerable in four questions before you pay anything. We are one of these businesses, so treat this as interested advice — but the questions are the right ones to ask us as much as anyone.
Ask what is actually promised
If a service guarantees interviews, an ATS score, or a percentage improvement, it is selling something it cannot deliver. There is no single applicant tracking system, no published scoring model, and no control over whether a given employer is hiring.
What can be promised: a document that parses cleanly, represents you accurately, and contains the terms a recruiter will search. That is the honest boundary, and a service that overclaims on this will overclaim on your behalf too — which is worse.
Ask who writes it
Whether a named person writes the document, whether they interview you, and whether they have written for your field before. A résumé produced from a form with no conversation is a template fill, whatever it costs.
For senior roles this matters most. The evidence that belongs on a CFO or a consultant’s résumé is not obtainable from a questionnaire.
Ask what the price covers
Specifically: how many revision rounds, what file formats, whether LinkedIn and the cover letter are included or extra, and what happens if you need a change in three weeks.
A fixed figure agreed in writing before work begins is the reasonable standard. Hourly billing on a résumé and a price that changes after the draft are both warning signs.
Ask about confidentiality
Whether an NDA is signed, whether your document is used as a sample, and whether your name appears anywhere. If you are employed, this is not a small matter.
The correct answer is that nothing is shared, nothing is published, and the work carries no studio credit. Ask for it in writing.
