How we handle your material and your data, what you own when we hand work over, how payment and revisions work, and what we will not take on. Written plainly, because a policy nobody reads protects nobody.

The information on this website is provided for general information about the services Content Factory offers. Prices shown are starting points for a first project and are not offers capable of acceptance; a binding price exists only in a written quotation issued to you.

Delivery times, page counts and language counts described here are typical rather than guaranteed. Nothing on this website constitutes legal, financial, medical, engineering or academic advice, and no client relationship arises until a written scope and quotation are agreed by both parties.

Sample text, figures and images on this website are illustrative. Where photographs show people, they are illustrative images and do not depict identifiable clients or staff. Client testimonials are published only with that client’s permission; where a name is withheld it is withheld under a non-disclosure agreement.

We do not guarantee any particular commercial outcome from work we produce — for example that a book will sell, that a pitch deck will raise funding, that a website will rank in search results, or that a manuscript will be accepted by a publisher or journal.

Privacy policy

We collect only what we need to reply to you and to deliver work you commission.

What we collect. When you use the enquiry form, the live chat or WhatsApp, we collect the name, email address, telephone number and project details you choose to give us. When you email or call us we hold that correspondence. Our hosting provider records standard server logs, which may include IP address, browser type and pages visited.

Why we hold it. To answer your enquiry, prepare a quotation, carry out work you commission, raise invoices, and keep the records Indian tax and accounting law requires.

Who we share it with. We do not sell your data and we do not share it for marketing. We share it only with service providers who make the website and our work function — form and email delivery services, our hosting provider, and where a project needs it, a translator or specialist bound by the same confidentiality terms. Where you send us material under a non-disclosure agreement, that agreement governs.

Where it is held. Our providers may store data on servers outside India, including in the United States and the European Union. Where that happens we rely on the provider’s own contractual safeguards.

How long we keep it. Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted within twenty-four months. Project files and invoices are kept as long as tax law requires, then deleted.

Your rights. You may ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw consent to being contacted. Write to info@contentfactory.in and we will respond within thirty days. If you are in the United Kingdom or European Union you also have the rights given by the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR, including the right to complain to your supervisory authority.

Children. This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under sixteen.

Cookie notice

This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies of its own. It does load the following third-party resources, which may set a cookie or record a request when a page opens:

Google Fonts, to load the typeface used across the site.
unpkg.com, to load the icon set.
A content delivery network, to load photographs.
A form delivery service, used only at the moment you submit the enquiry form or the live chat.

An image you drag into an editable image area is stored by your own browser, on your device only, and is never uploaded to us. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings and the website will continue to work.

Terms of service

Quotation and scope. Work begins when you approve a written scope and quotation. Anything not listed in that scope is a separate commission.

Your material. You confirm that material you send us — text, data, images, syllabus documents, drawings — is yours to send, and that our using it to produce your work will not infringe anyone’s rights. You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from material you supplied.

Approvals. Where a stage requires your approval, the schedule pauses until you give it. Delays in approval move delivery dates by the same period.

Confidentiality. We treat your material as confidential and will sign a non-disclosure agreement on request. Our team is bound by the same terms.

Limitation of liability. Our total liability for any project is limited to the fees you have paid for that project. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit, lost funding, lost sales or reputational loss.

Termination. Either party may end a project in writing. You pay for work completed and in progress to that date; we hand over what has been paid for.

Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu have exclusive jurisdiction.

Copyright and intellectual property

What you receive. On final payment, copyright in the deliverables we create for you transfers to you, together with editable source files and press-ready or production-ready files. You may publish the work under your own name or your organisation’s name.

What we retain. We retain ownership of our own pre-existing methods, templates and internal tools. Ghostwritten work carries no credit to us unless you ask for it.

Third-party material. Fonts, stock images, icons and reference sources used in a project remain under their own licences, which we name in the handover. Where a licence must be bought in your name, we tell you before purchase.

Originality. Manuscripts are written from source references rather than adapted from existing books, and are checked for originality before delivery. An originality report is available on request.

Portfolio use. We do not show your work publicly without written permission. Most of our work is under non-disclosure and is never shown.

Payment, revisions and refunds

Payment. Fifty per cent is payable in advance and the balance on delivery. Long books and multi-title programmes are staged by chapter or grade block so neither side carries the whole risk. Prices are quoted in United States dollars unless agreed otherwise; taxes are added where applicable.

Revisions. Two rounds of revision are included in every quoted price. A revision means correction and refinement within the approved scope. A change of scope — a new syllabus, a different audience, a rewritten brief — is quoted separately.

Refunds. Because this is bespoke work made to your brief, the advance is not refundable once drafting has begun. If you cancel before drafting begins, the advance is refunded in full less any research already carried out. If we fail to deliver work that meets the agreed written scope and cannot correct it within the included revision rounds, we refund the fee for that deliverable.

Late delivery. If we miss an agreed delivery date for reasons within our control, and the delay is material to you, you may end the project and pay only for work delivered.

Academic integrity

We do not write theses, dissertations, assignments or examination answers to be submitted by a student as their own work. That is academic misconduct in most jurisdictions and a criminal offence in some, and we decline such requests.

What we do provide to researchers and academics is legitimate support: academic editing and proofreading, journal manuscript preparation, citation and reference formatting, literature research, converting completed research into a book, and preparing presentations and posters. Authorship remains with you, and the intellectual contribution must be yours.

Use of artificial intelligence

We use AI-assisted tools in parts of our production process — for research support, drafting assistance, image concepts and quality checks. A qualified human writer, editor or designer is responsible for everything we deliver, and every deliverable is reviewed by a person before it reaches you.

Where you require that no AI tool be used on your project, tell us in writing before work begins and we will confirm whether we can meet that condition for the work in question.

Advertising, analytics and Google policies

At present this website runs no advertising, no remarketing pixel and no analytics tag. Nothing on the site profiles you, builds an advertising audience from your visit, or sells your personal information — which the California Consumer Privacy Act also entitles you to be told.

If and when we run Google Ads campaigns or place Google-served advertising, we will comply with Google’s advertising policies and its EU user consent policy, and this page will be updated to name every advertising and analytics service in use before it is switched on, stating what is set, whether consent is requested first, and how to opt out.

You can control Google’s own ad personalisation at myadcenter.google.com, and install the analytics opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Where this website links to a third-party site, we are not responsible for that site’s content or its privacy practices.

Under the Indian Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines) Rules, complaints about this website or about how we handle your data may be addressed to our grievance officer.

Note for the site owner: these policies describe how the agency actually operates, in plain language.
