Development sector resumes in Delhi: logframes, donors and beneficiaries reached
Delhi hosts the country offices of most multilateral agencies, the largest Indian NGOs, and a growing CSR function inside corporates. This sector has its own resume conventions, and a corporate document sent here reads as someone who has not worked in it.
The vocabulary is programmatic: objectives, indicators, beneficiaries, disbursement, donor reporting. These are not jargon to be avoided — they are the terms in which the work is actually described and assessed.
Programme scale, in the sector’s own units
Beneficiaries reached, geographies covered, districts or blocks, implementing partners managed, and the grant value you administered. This places a candidate faster than any job title.
Be precise about reached against targeted. The sector is careful about this distinction and an inflated figure is recognised.
Donors named, with your role
Which funders, what value, and whether you wrote the proposal, managed the grant or reported on it. Donor familiarity is directly transferable — a candidate who has reported to a particular multilateral knows its formats and cycles.
Indicators and the results framework
Logframe or theory of change experience, indicators designed, baseline and endline studies, monitoring systems built. Programme roles in Delhi screen on this and corporate-style resumes omit it entirely.
Proposal and fundraising record
Proposals written, won and lost, with values. A programme manager who brings funding is a different hire from one who only implements, and this section is where that distinction lives.
Field against headquarters
Time spent in the field, in which states, in which languages. Delhi-based sector hiring specifically values field credibility and it is the thing head-office candidates most often cannot evidence.
Corporate CSR is a third variant
CSR functions inside companies want both: sector literacy and corporate reporting discipline, including Section 135 compliance and impact assessment. A pure NGO resume underweights the second half.
How Content Factory writes it
Content Factory writes to sector convention — beneficiaries, indicators, donors, disbursement — and distinguishes reached from targeted, which matters to readers in this field.
We interview for field exposure and languages, because Delhi head-office applications consistently underwrite it and it is frequently the deciding factor.
For CSR applications we write the corporate-compliance half alongside the programme record. Fixed price agreed in writing before work begins.
