Education and edtech résumés in Delhi: outcomes, not enrolments
Delhi is the centre of Indian education — CBSE and NCERT are headquartered here, the university system is dense, and the coaching and edtech industries are the largest in the country. That means education hiring here is unusually specific about curriculum and board.
It also means two quite different résumés share the same job titles. An academic role is judged on curriculum, pedagogy and outcomes; a commercial edtech role is judged on enrolment, retention and revenue. Sending one document to both is why strong candidates hear nothing from either.
Curriculum and board, always named
CBSE, ICSE, IB, Cambridge, state board, or a university syllabus — for every teaching or content role you have held, with the grades and subjects.
This is the first screen for any academic post in Delhi, because moving a teacher or a content developer between boards costs a term of preparation. Leaving it implicit means being screened out of both boards rather than considered for one.
Outcomes where they are genuinely yours
Results improved, pass rates, examination outcomes for your cohorts, learning gains measured against a baseline. With the starting position stated, because improvement from a low base is a different claim from improvement from a high one.
For edtech content roles: completion rates, assessment scores, and whether the material was revised after data came in. The willingness to revise is itself a credential.
Commercial numbers for commercial roles
Edtech operating roles are screened on the same figures as any consumer business:
- Enrolments, and the conversion rate that produced them
- Retention and completion, cohort by cohort
- Revenue owned, and CAC if you were accountable for it
- Batch sizes, counsellor team size, centre count
An academic writing for an edtech commercial role and citing only pedagogy reads as someone who will be uncomfortable with targets.
Qualifications and licensure
B.Ed, M.Ed, NET, SET, TET, CTET, PhD progress — with dates and status. Many Delhi institutions treat these as hard requirements rather than preferences.
Content development and assessment experience deserves its own section for edtech and publishing roles: question banks authored, items written to a blueprint, moderation and review work.
How Content Factory writes it
Content Factory is a writing studio in Chennai, and résumés are one of the things we produce. Education is a field we work in daily as writers of textbooks and coaching material, so we know what the boards and the institutions are actually looking at.
Every commission begins with your current document and two or three advertisements you are genuinely targeting. We interview briefly for the numbers behind each claim, because most candidates describe substantial work in language that makes it sound small.
The document is rebuilt single-column with standard headings and month-and-year dates, so applicant tracking systems parse it cleanly, and the wording is aligned to those advertisements without inventing experience you do not have. We will not promise an ATS score — there is no published scoring model and any number quoted to you is invented.
Delhi clients receive editable Word and PDF within three to five working days, with one revision round. The price is fixed in writing before work begins and the work is yours outright.
