Supply chain and manufacturing résumés for Delhi NCR: throughput and cost

Delhi NCR runs on manufacturing and distribution — Gurugram, Noida, Manesar, Bhiwadi — and hiring in these functions is screened on a small set of operational numbers. A supply chain résumé without OTIF, inventory turns or savings delivered is not a competitive document.

The numbers are almost always available. They sit in a monthly review deck the candidate has presented a dozen times and never thought to put on a résumé.

The operational figures by function

Put the ones relevant to your function, with the baseline where you know it:

• Planning — forecast accuracy, OTIF, fill rate, inventory turns, days of cover
• Procurement — spend managed, savings delivered, supplier count, payment terms improved
• Manufacturing — OEE, yield, rejection rate, changeover time, output per shift
• Logistics — cost per unit shipped, transit time, damage rate, freight spend reduced
• Warehousing — throughput, picking accuracy, space utilisation, headcount per shift

Savings figures need a basis. “Reduced freight spend by 11 per cent on an annual base of 34 crore” can be interrogated; “achieved significant savings” cannot, and is therefore discounted.

Plant and network scale

Plant capacity, SKU count, line count, headcount, network size, annual volume. A planner covering four SKUs and one covering nine hundred are doing unrelated jobs under the same title.

For multi-site roles, state the number of sites and whether you had direct or matrixed authority over them.

Projects and systems

Implementations delivered — SAP modules, WMS, TMS, APO, planning tools — with your role and the scope. Half of these overrun, so a delivered one is real evidence.

Improvement projects with the methodology and the outcome: kaizen, Six Sigma, TPM, value stream mapping. A green or black belt with a named project and a verified saving is worth considerably more than the certificate alone.

Compliance and commercial exposure

GST and e-way bill processes, customs and import-export documentation, EOU or SEZ operations, and audit exposure. NCR employers with export operations screen for this specifically.
