Handwriting recognition software predicts. It fills an unclear word with whatever is statistically likely, quietly modernises archaic spelling, and gives you no way to tell where it guessed. A reader who knows the language and the period does the opposite: an unreadable word is flagged, not invented. Every page we transcribe is read by a person who reads that language natively.

Can you read old cursive and archaic spelling?

Archaic spelling is preserved exactly as written unless you ask for modernised text, in which case both versions are delivered.

What accuracy can you promise on handwriting?

We do not quote a single percentage, because handwriting varies page to page. Instead every uncertain word is flagged in a query log, so you can see precisely where the doubt is rather than trusting an average.

Which languages can you transcribe by hand?

The fifteen our team reads natively. We do not accept handwriting in a language we cannot verify, because a transcription nobody on the team can read is a guess.

How is handwriting priced?
