An archive is not a pile of paper to be processed quickly. Its order carries information, its fragility sets the pace, and the hand that wrote it belongs to a period with its own conventions. We work from your finding aid, keep the existing arrangement, record provenance alongside the text, and deliver both a preservation master and the access copy your catalogue will actually serve.

Send ten representative pages. Content Factory runs them and returns the text with an accuracy note, so you judge the output before committing to volume.

A per-page figure fixed in writing, based on what the sample showed: print quality, handwriting, tables, languages.

Pages are cleaned, deskewed and run through recognition trained for the language and script.

A native reader of the language checks every page against the original image.

Do you preserve the existing arrangement?

Yes. Original order and reference numbers are carried into the file structure, so your finding aid still describes the collection after digitisation.

What output do archives receive?

An uncompressed preservation master per page, an access derivative, a verified transcription, and catalogue metadata in the schema your system uses.

Can you transcribe older scripts and orthography?

In the fifteen languages our team reads natively, yes, with historical orthography preserved and a separate modernised reading where you want one.

Can fragile material leave the premises?

Often it should not. Where a collection cannot travel we discuss on-site capture or a supervised handover schedule rather than insisting on shipment.
