Why the subject changes the work

A word count hides the difference. Mathematics needs LaTeX or MathML so formulae are not re-keyed. Chemistry needs vector structures from chemical drawing software, because a substituted glyph destroys a charge or a stereocentre. Physics distinguishes italic quantities from roman units, and a reviewer treats a mix-up as a technical error. Engineering has to state first-angle or third-angle projection on every sheet, since the two are mirror images.

Medical content carries a different weight again: an out-of-date dosage or protocol is a patient-safety matter rather than an editorial one, so every clinical claim is sourced to current guidance and dated.

Each title is written by a subject specialist and reviewed by a second before it reaches you, because the two catch different things.
