A QR code in a textbook is easy to add and easy to get wrong. Codes printed too small to scan, codes pointing at a video nobody made, codes that break when the hosting moves. Content Factory treats the codes as part of the book: written, placed, tested on a real phone, and verified again on the printed proof.
A smart textbook is two deliverables. The printed book, and the resource each code resolves to.
One code per topic rather than one per chapter, so a student lands on the two minutes they need.
Written to the chapter, in the language of the book, timed to the length you are prepared to produce.
Pronunciation, recitation and language practice, where video would add nothing.
A code that opens a worksheet or a practice set rather than a video.
Worked solutions behind a code at the end of an exercise, so the book itself stays clean.
Every code scanned on a real phone before plate, and again on the printed proof.
We agree which topics earn a code. Not every page needs one, and a book covered in codes gets ignored.
The chapter is written first. The digital layer supports the book; it does not replace it.
Video and audio scripts written to the chapter, in the book language, at an agreed runtime.
Video and audio produced by you, by your vendor, or quoted separately by us.
Resources go on your platform, your channel or an agreed hosting service. You own the links.
Codes generated against final URLs and placed where the eye expects them, at a scannable size.
Every code scanned on Android and iOS before the file goes to plate.
Codes scanned again from the printed proof, because ink gain and paper can kill a small code.
Video production, hosting and ongoing maintenance are quoted separately, because they depend on who makes and hosts the material.

Fifteen languages are written, edited and proofread by people who read them natively. A manuscript is never signed off by someone working through a dictionary.
Other languages are taken on only when a native writer and a separate native proofreader are both available for that script, and we say so before you commit. Detail: multilingual book writing.
You do, on your own platform, channel or an agreed hosting service. The links belong to you, so the book does not stop working if you change supplier.
Use a redirect layer so the printed code points at a URL you control. We set that up at the code generation stage rather than after the book is in schools.
Script writing is included in the rates above. Production is quoted separately, because cost depends on whether it is animation, screen capture or a presenter on camera.
Not smaller than about 2 cm square on text paper. Smaller than that and ink spread makes it unreliable on a phone camera, which is why we re-scan from the printed proof.
Into the next reprint, yes. The current print run cannot be changed, but the layer can be built and ready for it.
Send the brief and we reply with a scope, a fixed price and a date — usually within one working day. Whole programmes are quoted the same way as single titles.
