A scanned Urdu PDF is a picture of text: you cannot search it, copy it or edit it. Many older "text" PDFs are no better: they were set in InPage, Noori Nastaliq or Jameel Noori and turn into garbage when copied. Where machine OCR fails

What our readers correct

Nuqta dots

The dots that separate ب پ ت ٹ ث are dropped or shifted on poor scans. Readers restore them against the image.

Broken ligatures

Nastaliq words sit in stacked, overlapping shapes, which engines split into letters in the wrong order.

Urdu-only letters

The retroflex ٹ ڈ ڑ, bari ye ے, noon ghunna ں and do-chashmi he ھ are read as their Arabic counterparts or dropped.

Numbers and tables

Figures, dates and table cells are checked separately, since a single wrong digit matters more than a wrong letter.

Pages are cleaned, deskewed and run through Urdu-trained recognition, with mixed Urdu-English lines and Urdu-only letters handled.

Native Urdu readers check every page against the image, restoring missing nuqta dots, retroflex letters and Nastaliq ligatures the machine broke apart.

My PDF shows strange characters when I copy the Urdu. Can you fix it?

Yes. That PDF was typed in a legacy Urdu font. We convert it to standard Unicode Urdu and check the result.

Can I send phone photos?
