Sales and marketing resume writing

Commercial hiring is the most numerically screened of any field, and commercial resumes are among the vaguest. A sales hiring manager wants quota, attainment, deal size, cycle length and territory — five numbers — before anything else. “Consistently exceeded targets” without a figure is read as having not exceeded them by much.

What you receive

The handover

Finished files

Production-ready output in the format your printer, platform or workshop actually needs — press PDF, editable source, CAD file, font binary or deck, as the work requires.

Editable sources

The working files, not just the export, so your team can change the work later without coming back to us.

Full rights

Copyright transfers to you on final payment. Nothing we make for you is resold or reused elsewhere.

Two revision rounds

Included in the quoted price. Corrections are logged against the draft rather than argued over on a call.

How it works

Five steps, and you approve the first three

01 · Brief

You tell us what the finished thing has to do, and send whatever material you already have.

02 · Scope & price

A written scope, a fixed figure and a delivery date, usually within one working day.

03 · Structure

You sign off the architecture before production starts, so nothing large is built on a wrong assumption.

04 · Production

Work arrives in stages as it finishes, not all at the end, with two revision rounds included.

05 · Handover

Files, sources and rights in your hands, and the invoice closed.

In detail

Sales and marketing resume writing — how we produce it

We ask for the numbers first, including the ones you would rather leave out. A missed year presented with its context — territory change, product withdrawal, a market that moved — reads far better than a conspicuous gap in an otherwise annual sequence.

For marketing, the work is usually translating activity into contribution. Most marketing resumes list campaigns; the ones that get interviews state what the campaign produced and how that was measured.

Fixed price agreed in writing, four to six working days, one revision round. Editable Word and PDF, yours outright on payment.

What a commercial resume must show

Five numbers before anything else

Quota and attainment, by year

Target, achieved, percentage, ranking where it flatters. Multiple years show consistency, which is what a sales manager is actually buying.

Deal size and cycle length

Average and largest deal, typical cycle. A candidate who closes six-figure deals over nine months is a different hire from one closing small deals weekly, and the resume must say which you are.

Territory, segment and motion

Geography, segment, inbound against outbound, new business against expansion. Sales managers hire for a specific motion and screen out mismatches quickly.

Marketing tied to revenue

Pipeline generated, cost per acquisition, conversion improved, attribution method. Impressions and engagement are activity; a chief marketing officer hires on contribution.

Channels and stack named

Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, Marketo, GA4 — recruiters search these directly, and stack familiarity shortens ramp time measurably.

Team and quota carried above IC

For leadership roles: team size, aggregate quota, attainment across the team, hiring and ramp record. This is a different document from an individual contributor resume.

Commercial candidates usually also take the LinkedIn rewrite, since buyers and recruiters both check the profile before responding to outreach.

What you receive

The commercial package

  • One or two page resume with quota and attainment by year
  • Deal size, cycle length, territory and motion stated per role
  • Marketing results tied to pipeline and revenue with the attribution named
  • LinkedIn rewritten for buyer and recruiter search
  • A cover letter framework for approaches
  • Guidance on presenting a year where the number was missed

Four to six working days, one revision round, fixed price agreed in writing.

Questions we are asked

Frequently asked

What if I missed quota one year?

State it with its context. An annual sequence with one explained miss reads as honest; a sequence with a year silently absent reads as concealment.

Should I include my ranking?

Where it flatters, yes — top 5% of 120 is a strong line. Where it does not, quota attainment alone is sufficient.

How do I show marketing impact without attribution data?

With the best proxy you have, and the method named. A stated proxy is credible; an unexplained percentage is not.

Is a leadership resume different?

Yes. Team size, aggregate quota, team attainment, hiring and ramp record replace personal closing numbers as the primary evidence.

Do recruiters search on the tech stack?

Yes, directly. Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach and Marketo are common search terms because familiarity shortens ramp time.

Questions

Before you commission

How much does thesis to book conversion cost?

Prices are fixed in writing before work begins. Scope, language count and turnaround move the figure; volume across a programme brings it down. Send the brief and you have a number within a working day.

How long does it take?

Most single deliverables run three to fourteen weeks depending on length and complexity. Programmes are staged so early parts reach you while later parts are still in production. You get a date with the quote.

Who does the work?

A specialist from our thesis to book team, with an editor and a production person on the same project. Everyone is bound by the same confidentiality terms.

Do I own the result?

Yes. Full copyright transfer, editable sources and production-ready files on final payment. Nothing is resold or reused.

Can it be produced in other languages?

Yes — any of a hundred-plus languages, typeset in the same studio so layout and page numbers match across editions.

Do you work with clients outside India?

Yes. Publishers, institutions and founders in the United States, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Canada, Australia and Japan. Work is delivered by email and shared drive and quoted in US dollars.

What it costs

Published prices, and the LinkedIn profile is free

Most resume services will not quote until you have sent your document and had a conversation. Content Factory publishes the range: ₹2,500 to ₹10,000, decided by your profession and the seniority of the role you are applying for — a graduate resume sits at the bottom of that range and a chief executive package at the top. The figure is fixed in writing before any work starts.

The LinkedIn profile rewrite is included at no charge with every resume. Most services charge separately for it, which makes no sense — a recruiter reads the resume and the profile within minutes of each other, and any disagreement between the two counts against you. Content Factory writes both from one agreed position so they never contradict.

Where exactly you fall in the range depends on your profession and the level you are targeting, not on how long the document is. Send the resume you have now and you will have the figure the same working day — and if it needs nothing, we will tell you that instead.
