LinkedIn profile optimisation

Recruiters do not browse LinkedIn, they search it. Your profile is found or missed on the words in your headline, your About section and your job titles — and once found, it gets about eight seconds. Most profiles fail at the first stage for a simple reason: the headline repeats the job title LinkedIn already has, wasting the single most heavily weighted field on the page.

What you receive

The handover

Finished files

Production-ready output in the format your printer, platform or workshop actually needs — press PDF, editable source, CAD file, font binary or deck, as the work requires.

Editable sources

The working files, not just the export, so your team can change the work later without coming back to us.

Full rights

Copyright transfers to you on final payment. Nothing we make for you is resold or reused elsewhere.

Two revision rounds

Included in the quoted price. Corrections are logged against the draft rather than argued over on a call.

How it works

Five steps, and you approve the first three

01 · Brief

You tell us what the finished thing has to do, and send whatever material you already have.

02 · Scope & price

A written scope, a fixed figure and a delivery date, usually within one working day.

03 · Structure

You sign off the architecture before production starts, so nothing large is built on a wrong assumption.

04 · Production

Work arrives in stages as it finishes, not all at the end, with two revision rounds included.

05 · Handover

Files, sources and rights in your hands, and the invoice closed.

In detail

LinkedIn optimisation — how we produce it

We start from your current profile and the kind of role you want to be found for. The questionnaire is short; the work is in choosing which terms to build around, and that decision is made from real recruiter search behaviour in your field rather than from generic advice.

We deliver text for you to paste in. We do not ask for your login, and you should refuse anyone who does — an account compromise is a far larger problem than a weak profile.

Fixed price agreed in writing, three to five working days, one revision round. If you also want a posting plan — what to write and how often — that is quoted separately.

How a profile is actually found

Written to be searched first and read second

The headline is a search field

220 characters, weighted heavily in LinkedIn’s own ranking. Repeating your job title wastes it. It should state what you do, for whom, and the terms a recruiter would type.

An About section people finish

First person, three or four short paragraphs, opening with the problem you solve. The first two lines show before the “see more” fold, and most profiles waste them on a career chronology.

Experience written for skimming

Each role reduced to scope and outcome. Recruiters read profiles on a phone between meetings; dense paragraphs are scrolled past regardless of their content.

Skills in ranked order

The top three are weighted most in search and displayed most prominently. Most profiles leave them in whatever order LinkedIn suggested years ago.

Featured, used deliberately

Portfolio, publications, a talk, a case study. It is the only place on the profile where you can show work rather than describe it, and most people leave it empty.

Consistent with your resume

Recruiters compare the two. Dates, titles and scope that disagree are a standard screening flag, and the discrepancy is noticed far more often than people expect.

Most profile commissions are taken with a resume rewrite, since the two documents are read together and any disagreement between them counts against you.

What you receive

What the rewrite covers

  • A headline written around the terms recruiters in your field search
  • An About section in your voice, structured for the fold
  • Every experience entry rewritten as scope and outcome
  • Skills reordered, with the top three chosen deliberately
  • A Featured section plan and the text to accompany each item
  • Everything delivered as text you paste in yourself — we never ask for your password

Three to five working days from a short questionnaire and your current profile. One revision round included.

Questions we are asked

Frequently asked

Do you need my LinkedIn password?

No, and you should never give it to anyone. We deliver the text and you paste it in, which takes about ten minutes.

What is the single biggest improvement?

The headline. It is weighted most heavily in search and most people waste it by repeating their job title, which LinkedIn already indexes separately.

Should the profile match my resume exactly?

The facts must agree — dates, titles, scope. The tone should differ: the profile is first person and more open, the resume is compressed and formal.

How long should the About section be?

Three or four short paragraphs. The first two lines matter most, because everything after them is hidden behind “see more”.

Will this get me job offers?

It makes you findable and credible when found. Nobody can promise offers, and anyone who does is not being straight with you.

Questions

Before you commission

How much does thesis to book conversion cost?

Prices are fixed in writing before work begins. Scope, language count and turnaround move the figure; volume across a programme brings it down. Send the brief and you have a number within a working day.

How long does it take?

Most single deliverables run three to fourteen weeks depending on length and complexity. Programmes are staged so early parts reach you while later parts are still in production. You get a date with the quote.

Who does the work?

A specialist from our thesis to book team, with an editor and a production person on the same project. Everyone is bound by the same confidentiality terms.

Do I own the result?

Yes. Full copyright transfer, editable sources and production-ready files on final payment. Nothing is resold or reused.

Can it be produced in other languages?

Yes — any of a hundred-plus languages, typeset in the same studio so layout and page numbers match across editions.

Do you work with clients outside India?

Yes. Publishers, institutions and founders in the United States, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Canada, Australia and Japan. Work is delivered by email and shared drive and quoted in US dollars.

What it costs

Published prices, and the LinkedIn profile is free

Most resume services will not quote until you have sent your document and had a conversation. Content Factory publishes the range: ₹2,500 to ₹10,000, decided by your profession and the seniority of the role you are applying for — a graduate resume sits at the bottom of that range and a chief executive package at the top. The figure is fixed in writing before any work starts.

The LinkedIn profile rewrite is included at no charge with every resume. Most services charge separately for it, which makes no sense — a recruiter reads the resume and the profile within minutes of each other, and any disagreement between the two counts against you. Content Factory writes both from one agreed position so they never contradict.

Where exactly you fall in the range depends on your profession and the level you are targeting, not on how long the document is. Send the resume you have now and you will have the figure the same working day — and if it needs nothing, we will tell you that instead.
