Creative and design resume writing

In creative hiring the resume has one job: get the portfolio opened. Nobody is hired on the document, but plenty are filtered out by it — an unclear role on a well-known project, a portfolio link that is broken or buried, a stack list where a point of view should be. The resume is the label on the box, and it has to make the box worth opening.

What you receive

The handover

Finished files

Production-ready output in the format your printer, platform or workshop actually needs — press PDF, editable source, CAD file, font binary or deck, as the work requires.

Editable sources

The working files, not just the export, so your team can change the work later without coming back to us.

Full rights

Copyright transfers to you on final payment. Nothing we make for you is resold or reused elsewhere.

Two revision rounds

Included in the quoted price. Corrections are logged against the draft rather than argued over on a call.

How it works

Five steps, and you approve the first three

01 · Brief

You tell us what the finished thing has to do, and send whatever material you already have.

02 · Scope & price

A written scope, a fixed figure and a delivery date, usually within one working day.

03 · Structure

You sign off the architecture before production starts, so nothing large is built on a wrong assumption.

04 · Production

Work arrives in stages as it finishes, not all at the end, with two revision rounds included.

05 · Handover

Files, sources and rights in your hands, and the invoice closed.

In detail

Creative resume writing — how we produce it

We look at your portfolio first. A resume written without seeing the work invariably oversells something the portfolio does not support, and a reviewer who opens the work and finds a mismatch stops there.

The sequencing note is often the most valuable part. Most portfolios lead with the most recent piece rather than the strongest, and the first three decide whether a reviewer reaches the fourth.

Fixed price agreed in writing, three to five working days, one revision round. Editable files, yours outright on payment.

What a creative resume must do

Get the work opened, then explain your part in it

Portfolio link above everything

First line, working, no password, and a direct link rather than a home page. A reviewer with forty applications does not hunt for the work.

Your role on each project, exactly

Concept, direction, execution, or contribution within a team. Creative fields are collaborative and overstating a role is found out in the first portfolio conversation.

Credits in the industry’s own form

Film and media credits formatted as the industry formats them, with production, role and year. Getting this wrong marks an outsider immediately.

Craft before software

Tools are assumed. What distinguishes you is the judgement — the type choice, the spatial idea, the edit. Lead with the thinking and list the software briefly.

Architecture needs technical evidence too

Registration status, project stages worked, codes and approvals handled, alongside the design record. Practices hire for delivery as much as for concept.

One page, and the portfolio does the rest

A creative resume longer than a page competes with the portfolio for attention, and the portfolio should always win.

Most creative commissions also take the portfolio sequencing note, since the order of the first three projects decides more than anything written on the resume.

What you receive

The creative package

  • One-page resume with the portfolio link placed first
  • Role stated precisely for each project or credit
  • Credits formatted in your industry’s convention
  • A short positioning line — what you are for, not just what you use
  • A portfolio sequencing note on which three pieces to lead with
  • LinkedIn and Behance or equivalent profile text

Three to five working days, one revision round. We look at the portfolio before writing, because the resume has to match what the reviewer will find.

Questions we are asked

Frequently asked

Should the portfolio link go at the top?

Yes, on the first line, working and unpassworded. It is the single most important element on a creative resume.

How do I describe a team project?

State your specific contribution. Claiming a collaborative project entirely is discovered in the first portfolio conversation and ends it.

Do I need to list software?

Briefly, near the end. Tools are assumed at professional level; the judgement is what is being assessed.

Is an architecture CV different?

Yes. Registration status, project stages, codes and approvals sit alongside the design record, because practices hire for delivery as well as concept.

Will you look at my portfolio?

Yes, before writing. A resume that does not match what the reviewer finds is worse than a plain one.

Questions

Before you commission

How much does thesis to book conversion cost?

Prices are fixed in writing before work begins. Scope, language count and turnaround move the figure; volume across a programme brings it down. Send the brief and you have a number within a working day.

How long does it take?

Most single deliverables run three to fourteen weeks depending on length and complexity. Programmes are staged so early parts reach you while later parts are still in production. You get a date with the quote.

Who does the work?

A specialist from our thesis to book team, with an editor and a production person on the same project. Everyone is bound by the same confidentiality terms.

Do I own the result?

Yes. Full copyright transfer, editable sources and production-ready files on final payment. Nothing is resold or reused.

Can it be produced in other languages?

Yes — any of a hundred-plus languages, typeset in the same studio so layout and page numbers match across editions.

Do you work with clients outside India?

Yes. Publishers, institutions and founders in the United States, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Canada, Australia and Japan. Work is delivered by email and shared drive and quoted in US dollars.

What it costs

Published prices, and the LinkedIn profile is free

Most resume services will not quote until you have sent your document and had a conversation. Content Factory publishes the range: ₹2,500 to ₹10,000, decided by your profession and the seniority of the role you are applying for — a graduate resume sits at the bottom of that range and a chief executive package at the top. The figure is fixed in writing before any work starts.

The LinkedIn profile rewrite is included at no charge with every resume. Most services charge separately for it, which makes no sense — a recruiter reads the resume and the profile within minutes of each other, and any disagreement between the two counts against you. Content Factory writes both from one agreed position so they never contradict.

Where exactly you fall in the range depends on your profession and the level you are targeting, not on how long the document is. Send the resume you have now and you will have the figure the same working day — and if it needs nothing, we will tell you that instead.
